I did not realize it but the blue bird head/torso part is a separate piece starting the feather/tail piece. Lacing links them together but it is wiggly. Subdue, a nice toy. I single gave the tail, torso and laces to my 2 time old. I'm saving the chocking hazards for when he is older.

I bought this for my 6 year old daughter. She loves it and so do I. My only complaint is that there should be more beads and felt pieces. The kids really have to ration them out to have enough to go around.
