My daughter received this toy for her at the start birthday and it was an instant success. She did not want to see any of her other new toys after considering this one. I have two boys ages 5 and 11. I bought this toy set for the 5 year old and now my 11 year old is spellbound up in construction stuff too! These are actually easy blocks to pick and begin construction stuff with and the best part is that it is very easy to pick up the blocks and put back into the storage space bin that comes with it.
